In this project, I created a a graphic illustration using an excerpt from a classic children's book, Winnie The pooh. I created the design through the combination and manipulation of type as an object. I then used the design to create a book jacket cover.
In the book jacket cover I also included the excerpt I chose, the original book title and author, as well as publisher details and a barcode.
My goal was to create a design that would fit perfectly with the excerpt that I chose but yet different from the existing portrayed illustrations of the scene. In most notable illustrations, Winnie the pooh is holding on from the string on the balloon, my choice was to make him be on top of the balloon. I added multiple clouds and bees to fit the the scene of the excerpt, some closer, some farther away to add some depth in the illustration.
